This position originates, evaluates, negotiates, and prepares loan requests for approval in compliance with established guidelines and is responsible for marketing loan products and maintaining loan relationships with borrowers and developing new business in Marion and surrounding counties. This position should succeed in working in a positive, team-oriented environment, contributing to the ongoing success of the bank.
Duties:• Identify and cross-sell a wide range of commercial banking services by following a proactive sales and business development plan.

• Develop new loans and manage existing loan portfolio (establishing pricing for profitability while ensuring minimum loss risk).

• Maintain an ongoing business development program in order to assist existing customers and solicit new customers to the bank.

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and participating in community projects.

• Monitor loan portfolio & loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past-due accounts.

• Experienced lenders are expected to manage large and complex commercial loan customers.
Qualifications:• Possess a minimum of 3+ year’s relevant commercial lending experience (preferably up to 10 year’s experience) in the Marion County market area.

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance preferred.

• Strong business development and credit risk assessment skills.

• Must have proven track record in business development.

• Knowledge of Bank regulations pertaining to lending and debt collection.

• Solid knowledge of relevant PC software applications, such as Word and Excel.

• Articulate and comfortable in communicating with all levels in a bank organization and with external customers.
